TBI Arrests Former Credit Union Teller For Theft
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today arrested a former teller at a Waynesboro credit union after she was indicted by the Wayne County grand jury on one count of theft over $1,000.
Jill Lynn Scarbrough, 30, of Hohenwald, Tenn. was indicted last month on one count of theft over $1,000. While working as a teller at the Employee Resources Credit Union on Dexter L. Woods Memorial Boulevard in Waynesboro, Scarbrough took approximately $9500.
The investigation revealed that Scarbrough took cash amounts of approximately $100 and $200 at a time between September 2012 and December 2012 from the credit union.
She was fired from her position. In December of 2012, the District Attorney General requested a TBI investigation into the missing funds.
Scarbrough was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $5,000 bond. The FBI and Wayne County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the investigation.
